Browning Safari Grade, CAL: 243, MFG: 1959-60 (1st Yr Production), SN: L 424, Bolt Action Rifle, 22'' step down, fast taper barrel. The checkered, cheeked, flat pistol grip, Monte Carlo wood stock is excellent displaying original finish & only a couple of minor blemishes. The metal blue finish rates 98% overall on the barrel & receiver. Bore is excellent. Attached scope rings as well as an adjustable elevation rear sight & large hooded ramp front sight. Sling studs. Engraved chrysanthemum integrated into the stock on either side. Floor plate & trigger guard have gold filled simple line engraving. Stainless steel bolt. Buttstock carries a Browning marked buttplate. An overall excellent hunting rifle. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 500 to 1000
