J. Stevens Arms Company, Model Little Scout - 14 1/2, .22 LR Cal., MFG: 1910-32, SN: None, Falling Block, Take-down, Lever Single Shot Rifle, 18'' Tapered round barrel. The walnut stocks are good & solid, with 2'' hairline crack on right side of butt at buttplate & a couple of 1/2'' tight hairlines at top of wrist. There is also a tight 1 1/2'' crack at the front tip of forend. Stocks have been non-professionally sanded & refinished, but do still have a nice appearance, with the remains of numerous small scratches & contusions. A single 1'' ding on right side of buttstock. The original metal blue finish on barrel has worn to 40%, with the case-hardened receiver toned brown. The receiver & barrel also carry an added brown patina finish. Barrel is marked '' J. Stephens Arms Company Chicopee Falls Mass. U.S.A. - Little Scout .22 Long Rifle Pat. July 2 -07. 14 1/2.''. Bore is poor, with lots of roughness, but some rifling still visible. Original front blade & fixed rear sights. Original metal buttplate. Replaced rollingblock bolt post. A fairly rare little boys rifle. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 80 to 250
