Heinr Munch Double Barrel, CAL: 16GA, MFG: 1920's, SN: 9821, Break Action SxS Shotgun, Choke: F/F, 26'' barrels. The gun has undergone an older restoration or after season maintenance/cleaning. The receiver, trigger guard, break lever & tang all display a very intricate ornamental scroll engraving with game scenes of dogs chasing hare on both sides, an elk on the trigger guard & birds on the bottom of the receiver & break lever. The checkered, cheeked, & capped pistol grip wood stocks are very good, as possibly lightly sanded & checkering sharpened long ago. They display some minor scuff, nicks & contusions. The restored metal blue finish rates 85% on the barrel, as it tones a bit plum. The case-hardened receiver has very faint outlines of case-colors remaining, mostly shadowing. Bores are very good. Solid rib holds a single front bead. Buttstock carries a wide, grooved plastic buttplate. The solid rib has a 1 1/2'' dovetail fill/repair. There is also an old sling stud hole with wood dowel fill on the underside of stock. DAC: 1 5/8'', DAH: 2 1/4'', LOP: 14 3/8''. FFL or C&R Req - Value: 500 to 1000
