Whitney Safety Firearms Co. Double Barrel. CAL: 12GA, MFG: 1891, SN: 815, Break Action SxS Shotgun. Choke: F/F, 30'' barrels with solid, matted rib. A unique feature to this gun is the grip lever safety. The checkered, capped pistol grip wood stocks are good & solid. There is an old 2 1/2'' toe repair & stock was lightly sanded & refinished at time of repair. There is a drilled hole on both sides of the pistol grip, within the checkering, for unknown purpose. The stock have several small nicks & dings. The twisted steel pattern on the barrels is clear, with some spotty areas of rust & pitting. The receiver has toned gun metal grey with a thin brown patina. Bores are good. There is a small dent in the left barrel near the muzzle. The solid rib holds a single front bead. Buttstock carries a factory Whitney buttplate, with rough toe repair. DAC: 1 7/8'', DAH: 3'', LOP: 14''. Antique, No FFL Req. - Value: 300 to 500
