Browning Belgium Model Superposed ''Lightning'', CAL: 20GA, MFG: 1967, SN: 47672V7, Break Action O/U Shotgun. 28'' barrel with ventilated rib. This is a shotgun built at the beginning of the salt era for Browning. There is damage to the receiver, trigger mechanism & wood stock finish, all of which appears to be salt-wood related. The receiver displays a floral/ornamental scroll engraving. The deluxe, round pistol grip wood stocks are very good, with beautiful grain. However, the high gloss finish on the stock has heavy flaking & bubbling. The factory metal blue finish on the barrels rate 95%, while the receiver rates 85%, but with heavy standing rust along edges of receiver where in contact with the stock. There is also standing rust & pitting on the triggerguard & trigger. Bores are excellent. The ventilated rib holds a small ivory mid-rib bead & front bead. Buttstock carries a factory Browning buttplate. Trigger is seized, the likely result of interior rust. This firearm could be beautifully restored. DAC: 1 3/8'', DAH: 1 7/8'', LOP: 14 1/8''. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 400 to 800
