Browning Model A-5, CAL: 20GA, MFG: 1940-46, SN: C15947, Semi-Auto Shotgun, Choke: Polychoke System, 28'' barrel. This is a Remington produced Browning A5, made under contract by Remington during the WWII years when production at the Belgium FN plant was not available. They were produced along side the Remington Model 11, but unlike the Model 11, the Remington produced Browning A5 guns had magazine cuttoffs. The checkered & capped pistol grip wood stocks are very good, carrying the original finish with several small contusions, nicks & scrapes. The metal blue finish appears to have been professionally restored, as it a few of the stampings on both the receiver & barrel were thinned, but it is nicely done, mimics the correct finish & rates 90% overall with some speckling. Bore is very good. The polychoke holds a single front bead. Buttstock carries an original Browning buttplate. LOP: 14''. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 400 to 800
