Early 18th century, Northern Indian/ Persian Mughal matchlock musket, CAL: unknown approx. .53 , MFG: Antique , SN: None. Muzzle loading Rifle, 40'' barrel. Heavy lacquered finish on mahogany full stock and ebonized serpentine housing, stock of typical form with slender butt of pentagonal form ended with wood buttpad, pierced steel leaf form trigger stock in good condition for age & is nicely inletted to metal parts around receiver/ buttstock. The finishes are heavy rust patina on the barrel & receiver. The bore appears smooth & heavily rusted. Rear sight is fixed small steel with slot to aim through. Front sight consist of simple bead. Steel side panels with pierced borders, tapered round barrel, three lacquered rattan barrel bands. Metal ramrod pipe complete with steel ramrod, A seldom seen rifle - Antique, No FFL.
