Ball & Williams Ballard Carbine, CAL: 44RF, MFG: 1862-65, SN: 1106, Lever Action Falling Block Rifle, 22'' barrel. The straight grip wood stocks are good, they display multiple small nicks & dings with multiple layers of added oils or varnish to the finish. The entirety of the metal has toned to a dark plum/brown patina with consistent spotting throughout. The bore is good with noticeable rifling & some intermittent spotting. The barrel is fitted with a factory flip-up rear sight & front sight. Buttstock carries a curved metal, windows peak style buttplate. Front & rear sling swivels. The lever action, trigger & hammer all function very well. Antique, No FFL Req. - Value: 1000 to 3500
