Martini Henry Model: 1874, CAL: 22LR, MFG: 1874-80, SN: 6991, Breech loading lever action single shot rifle.. 30'' round barrel. Marked on barrel just ahead of receiver with: '' AMMUNITION 22'' & ENTIRELY BRITISH'', & on right side of barrel is serial number. Nicely grained, lacquer - finished walnut straight grip stocks that have numerous scratches & dings throughout, may have been refinished at some point. Rear sight is adjustable ladder with 25, 50 & 100 stamped on left side of base & ladder stamped from 6 to 19. Front sight is a blade dovetailed into base on barrel. The barrel & other metal surfaces are in fair condition with 40% of the original blue on the barrel & 20% on receiver, both display rust staining and scratches from use. Trigger guard, barrel bands & checkered steel buttplate display less bluing from wear. Cleaning rod is missing. Bore is fair has darkening/some pitting with some visible rifling. Bayonet lug on right side of barrel. Action appears functional. Antique, No FFL Req. - Value: 1000 to 2000
