U.S Springfield, Model 1898 sporterized, CAL: 30-40 KRAG, MFG: 1898, SN: 102376, Bolt Action Rifle, 24'' round barrel. The modified, sanded & re-finished straight grip wood stock is in good condition, with finger groove forend & black plastic covered nose cap that has a large gouge in it. Stock carries a number of finish flaws & several small nicks & dings. The metal blue finish has toned mostly gray with about 30% coverage. Bore is good, worn a bit, but has defined rifling. The rifle carries a Redfield adjustable peep rear sight, open holes in the barrel & receiver from a once present scope mounts. Front sight is dovetailed fine blade. The buttstock carries a replacement plastic checkered buttpad with ''BISHOP'' stamp. No sling swivels present. Antique, No FFL Req. - Value: 200 to 400
