Japanese Arisaka Model: Type 38, CAL: 6.5x50, MFG: 1930's-40's, SN: 2403, Bolt Action Rifle, 32'' round barrel. Pistol grip wood stock is very good condition, displaying some surface blemishes, gouging & dulling wear at carry points to the original finish. The metal finish rates 30% on barrel & receiver. Blue on trigger guard & floorplate rates 25%. Bore is fair, darkening with well worn rifling. Rear sight is ladder adjustable w/ graduation marks from 5 to 20. Front sight is inverted ''V'' dovetailed to base. The magazine plate needs repair work to re-attach. The buttstock carries a standard metal buttplate in rust patina. Sling swivels in butt & sling swivel in forend. Kanji stamped & painted on lower portion of buttstock. Comes with late war bayonet & wooden military scabbard. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 400 to 1000
