U.S. Remington Model 1903, CAL: 30-06, MFG: 1943. SN:4057821, Bolt Action Rifle, 24'' round barrel. Stock is in good condition appears to have been lightly sanded with just a few light scratches remaining. Stamped on left side above trigger guard with: '' RA & FJA. There is a symbol branded into the lower buttstock Metal parts are grey/Green parkerized finish in 85% barrel & 90% on receiver. Stamped on receiver with: ''U.S. REMINGTON MODEL 03-A3 & serial number. Rifle is fitted with adjustable rear peep sight w/ increments from 2 to 8 and retains front blade sight. Bore is in fair to poor condition with rust and pitting among visible rifling. Original steel, checkered military buttplate with cleaning kit access. (no cleaning kit, just wooden matches) Barrel has ''R A flaming bomb & 9 - 43 '' stamped behind front sight indicating September 1943 as date of manufacture. 3 sling swivels on nose cap, mid barrel band and bottom of buttstock present. Action functions smoothly & appears in excellent condition. Aside from bore, a very nice O3-A3. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 500 to 1500
