Springfield Armory Model 1903 Mark CAL: 30-06, MFG: 1919. SN: 1120669, Bolt Action Rifle, 24'' round barrel. Stock is in good condition with some light scratches/ dings & a gouge on right side above floorplate. Metal finish is in 65% barrel &75% on receiver. Rifle is fitted with adjustable ladder rear sight w/ increments from 3 to 27, front blade sight with metal protective globe surrounding. Bore is very good with well defined rifling. Leather sling in original sling swivels. Flat metal military buttplate with cleaning kit access & original ''cigar'' cleaning kit with parts contained within. Barrel has ''S A flaming bomb & 9 / 19 - A'' stamped behind front sight indicating September 1919 as date of manufacture. 65,000 of these Mark 1's were designated such & were to be later equipped for the ''Pedersen Device''. It does have the oval cut slot on the left side of the receive r& it falls within the correct SN range of 1,034,502 to 1,197,834. This '03 has an interesting history of Springfield factory upgrades. Action is mechanically sound in good condition. Comes with bayonet dated 1913 & scabbard. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 500 to 3000
