CAI Chinese Mosin Nagant Military Rifle. Model: M53 Cal.7.62x54R mm. MFG: 1954. SN: 1236624. Chinese version of Russian Mosin Nagant military bolt action rifle. 21'' barrel. Stock is two piece straight grip standard military issue. In rough, used condition entirely covered with oil stains, cracks, dings, chips & scratches of various depths. Wood to metal fit very is fair, typical of this model rifle. Chinese arsenal stamped. Original SN & other stamps on top of receiver ring. Contains C.A.I import & number on left side of receiver. Receiver & barrel retain about 30 % blue with muzzle worn to the white. Elevator adjustable original military rear sight with graduation markings from 2 to 10 . Front sight is post in metal globe protector that is on a windage adjustable base. Non-Matching SN's throughout. Bore is very dark, with lightly visible rifling. Action appears fully functional. Factory issued folding cruciform bayonet present & retains 60% blue, hinge is tight. Missing cleaning rod. Mosin Nagant of all variations are getting harder to find/acquire.
