RARE O.F. Mossberg & Sons, Model 42MB, .22 S. L. & LR Cal., MFG. 1943, SN: 43929, Bolt Action Rifle, 23'' Round barrel, Box Mag fed. Military training rifle version of the 42M. Approximately 3000 made in 1943, the last year of production. Made for U.S. & British troops. This is a ''UNITED STATES. PROPERTY'' stamped on barrel & receiver along w/ serial number. The original full length military style walnut stock is very good & solid with very few dings/scratches. Metal blue finish is 80%, with some light speckles & spotty areas of loss. Original front sight marked ''MOSSBERG 1B'' present. Original rear aperture sight present. Original mag. Original sling swivels present on bottom of buttstock and front barrel band. Bore is excellent, Original buttplate. Missing the red/green safe/fire dots from stock. FFL & C&R Req. - Value: 300 to 1000
