Colt, Model 1860 Army Revolver, 1st Gen., CAL: 44, MFG: 1862, S/N: 121314, Single Action Percussion Revolver. The top of the 8'' barrel is marked ''--ADDRESS COL. SAML COLT NEW-YORK U.S. AMERICA--'', the left side of the frame is marked ''COLTS/PATENT''. The cylinder has faint engraved Naval battle scene. The walnut grips are very good, with nicks, dings & edge wear. The bottoms of grips have a man-made hole carved out, likely serving as holes for a lanyard. Metal has worn gun metal grey, with areas having a thin layer of light brown patina. Brass trigger guard has a nice mustard patina. Bore is fair. Front blade sight. The action functions properly. Repaired cylinder rod. Wedge screw appears replaced. The matching SN is marked on the barrel, frame, trigger guard & bottom strap. A nice, original early Colt. Antique, No FFL Req. - Value: 1000 to 3000
