Colt 1862 Pocket Pistol, CAL: 36, MFG: 1861, SN: 2770, Single Action Revolver, 4' 1/2'' barrel. Matching SN stamped on barrel, frame, trigger guard, backstrap & cylinder. The top barrel flat is marked ''ADDRESS COL SAML COLT NEW-YORK CITY'', Two-line ''COLTS PATENT'' is on the left side of the frame. The period ivory grips are excellent with few minor nicks & pin prick sixed black dots. The case-hardened frame, retains faint, yet very visible case-colors. The barrel & cylinder has worn mostly gun metal grey, with blue in protected areas. The brass trigger guard & backstrap still carry the nickel finish in protected areas. Bore is very good. Very faint stagecoach scene on cylinder. Cylinder timing & action index properly. Comes with a leather holster, with decorative tooling. A very nice example of a Civil War era original Colt. Antique, NO FFL Req. - Value: 1000 to 2000
