Smith & Wesson 2nd Model, CAL: 38 S&W, MFG: 1880-1884, SN: 31625, Top Break Double Action Revolver, 3 1/4'' barrel. 5 Shot. The black plastic grips, with ivory diamond inlays are fair. The checkering is worn, with numerous nicks & dings, & a 2'' edge chip missing from left grip. The nickel metal finish has almost fully worn away, with a dark brown patina covering most surfaces. Rust pitting & spotting throughout. Bore is fair, dark & worn. Factory sights. Top break lever & action seem to function correctly, however the cylinder does skip or lag on one of the five cylinders.
