Smith & Wesson 38/44 Outdoorsman Model of 1950, Pre-Model 23, CAL: 38 S&W Special CTG, MFG: 1951-52, SN: S81879, Double Action Revolver, 5 screw. N Frame, 6 1/2'' barrel. 6 Shot. The original, medallion, checkered walnut grips are excellent, with very minor nicks. The factory, metal blue finish rates 90% overall. The case-hardened trigger & hammer still retain strong case-colors. Bore is excellent. Factory rear sight & ramp blade front sight. Action & cylinder timing function correctly. Trousdale Collection.
