Hartford Arms & Equipment Co., Model 1925, .22 Cal. LR, S/N: 3824, Mfg. 1926-30 , 6 3/4'' barrel, Hartford Arms & Equipment Company produced about 5,000 of these pistols before going bankrupt. They were later resurrected as the High Standard Firearms Company. The High Standard Model B was a direct descendant of the Model 1925. The left barrel extension flat is marked ''MANFD. BY / THE HARTFORD ARMS & EQUIP. CO. / HARTFORD, CONN. / PATENTED / 22 CAL. / LONG RIFLE''. The front strap is marked ''3824''. The checkered plastic grips are very good & solid, with 2 small chips to right grip on edge. 2 Philips head screws on right grip. The metal finish has worn almost fully gun metal gray, with a very thin layer of brown patina. The front sight is a post style blade dovetailed into the top of the barrel. The rear sight is a V notch, dovetailed into the top of the slide. Bore is very good. A fairly rare pistol in the history of High Standard. Detachable mag. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 200 to 400
