Colt, Model 1903 Pocket Hammerless Type 1, CAL: .32 ACP, MFG: 1904, SN: 5030, Semi-Auto Pistol, Early 4'' barrel. Designed by John Browning. Despite the title ''hammerless'', the Model 1903 does have a hammer. The hammer is covered & hidden from view under the rear of the slide, this allows the pistol to be carried in & withdrawn from a pocket quickly & smoothly without snagging. Produced 1903-45, with 570,000 produced. The original checkered hard rubber grips, with early scalloped banner are very good, but with some smoothing of checkering. The metal finish is worn, with brown patina & some original finish left in protected areas & light speckling. Bore is good, with roughness in the grooves. Fixed sights. Colt marked detachable 8 rd mag. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 400 to 800
