Description

Nambu Type 14, CAL: 8 x 22mm, MFG: 1906-45, SN: 10822, Semi-Auto Pistol, 4 3/4'' barrel. The Nambu pistols were a series of semi-automatic pistols produced by the Japanese company Koishikawa Arsenal, later known as the Tokyo Artillery Arsenal. The series had five variants, the Type A Model 1902 (Grandpa Nambu), the Type A Model 1902 Modified (Papa Nambu), the Type B (Baby Nambu), the Type 14 & the Type 94. The Nambu pistols were designed to replace Japan's earlier service pistol, the Type 26 Revolver. The pistols were designed by Kijiro Nambu & saw extensive service in the Empire of Japan during the Second Sino-Japanese War & Pacific War. The most common variant, the Type 14, was used mostly by officers who had to pay for their own pistols. The wood grips on this pistol are very good & solid, with surface scrapes & nicks. The metal gray finish rates 80% overall. Bore is very good. Fixed notch rear & blade front sights. Detachable mag. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 400 to 800
