Winchester Model 1873, CAL: marked 44 WCF, MFG: 1887, SN: 238478B, Lever Action Rifle, 24 3/8'' round barrel, full mag. The straight grip wood stocks are very good & solid, displaying numerous contusions, nicks & dings. The buttstock appears to have added oils being a darker tone than the forearm, & likely added waxes. The entirety of the metal surfaces have toned to a spotty plum patina, with areas worn to gun metal grey. Bore is good, dark, bright with lands & grooves showing worn areas & consistent spotting/pitting. The barrel carries a deep ''V'' cut adjustable rear sight with replaced elevator blade & pinched blade front sight. The buttstock carries a smooth, crescent metal trapdoor buttplate.
