Winchester Model 1895 SRC, CAL: 30-40 KRAG (marked 30 ARMY), MFG: 1917, SN: 402210, Lever Action Rifle, 22'' barrel. This was the gun & the caliber that the Texas Rangers were partial to. The original single barrel banded, straight grip wood stocks, with heat shield, are excellent. There is a small wood slice repair on the right side of the forend & they have been refinished. They display only a few minor handling marks. The metal blue finish rates 80% on the visible portion of the barrel & the receiver rates 30%. Bore is very good & bright, with crisp rifling. Receiver fitted with a Redfield adjustable windage/elevation peep sight. Barrel carries a rear ladder sight & blade front sight. Buttstock carries a smooth metal buttplate. A nice example of a 1895 SRC, in a hard to find caliber. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 1500 to 3000
