LeFever Arms Co. Field Grade, CAL: 10 GA, MFG: 1889, SN: 11661, Break Action SxS Shotgun, 28'' barrel. The checkered & capped pistol grip wood stocks, with horn inlayed forend, are good & solid, but there are hairline cracks on each side at the bottom of the wrist, near the trigger guard. The stocks display numerous scrapes, contusions, nicks & dings, with the checkering smoothing in areas from use. The forend also has edge chipping or missing sliver. The Damascus fingerprint pattern on the barrels is visible beneath a thin brown patina layer. The receiver is metal grey, with small areas of thin patina. Bores are good. The barrel holds a single front bead. Buttstock carries a LeFever marked, checkered buttplate with small edge chip near the toe. DAC: 2'', DAH: 3 7/16'', LOP: 14 3/16''.
