Winchester, Model 1876, Third Variation, CAL: 45-60, MFG: 1882, SN: 26278, Lever Action Rifle, 28 1/4'' Octagon barrel. Full Mag. The straight grip wood stocks are very good & solid, with contusions, scrapes & scratches to what appears to be a mix of the original finish & some added oils. The metal blue finish has fully toned to a dark plum/brown patina, with spotting. Bore is good, dark, but with strong rifling. We suspect the barrel has been cut. The barrel holds a replaced adjustable rear sight & a small pinch blade front sight, with numerous nicks & abrasions. Buttstock carries a sliding trapdoor crescent metal buttplate. Antique, No FFL Req. - Value: 2500 to 5000
