Winchester Model 1892 Saddle Ring Carbine, CAL: 44 WCF, MFG: 1919, SN: 878524, Lever Action SRC, 20'' Round barrel, Full mag. This rifle has been professionally restored. The straight grip wood stocks are excellent, having been cleaned & have an added layer of finish over the original finish. The stocks show numerous tiny scratches & light contusions. The stocks have an excellent overall appearance. The professional metal blue refinish rates 98%. The receiver does show evidence of polishing prior to the reblue. The rifle carries London Proof House stamping on the receiver, barrel & bolt. Bore is very good & bright. Barrel holds a carbine ladder rear sight & carbine box small blade front sight. Original carbine style metal buttplate. Saddle ring. Smooth, tight action , but hammer needs to be adjusted as it does not always remain cocked after levering. A beautifully restored British SRC, that likely has a unique story to tell. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 800 to 1500
