Savage, Model 99, marked 250-3000 SAVAGE Cal., MFG: 1930, SN: 333261, Lever Action Takedown Rifle, 20'' Tapered round barrel, The factory checkered & capped pistol grip wood stocks are very good & solid, as lightly sanded & re-oiled. The checkering remains very good. There are a couple dowel filled holes in the belly of the stock likely from vacated sling studs. There are very few other handling marks & the stocks' appearance is very nice. The metal surfaces have worn mostly gun metal gray & display a thin mix of original blue & applied blue finish. The lever displays muted remains of case-coloring. The stock carries the original Savage serrated metal buttplate. Fitted with an adjustable rear sight & bladed front sight on ramp. Bore is excellent & bright. Action is smooth & tight. Riffle displays well & should be a great hunting rifle. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 500 to 1000
