BOXED Remington, Model 4 Diamond Anniversary, CAL: .30-06 , MFG: 1981, SN: LE81-0663, Semi-Auto Rifle, 22 1/2'' Round barrel, detachable clip. Remington announced the Diamond Anniversary Rifle in their 1982 catalog to commemorate the 75th anniversary of when they built the world's first high power auto-loading rifle, the Model 8. Only 1500 rifles were to be produced, with this example falling in the middle of each featuring deep relief etching, highlighted by real 24K gold, richly figured American walnut & their finest positive-cut checkering. The nostalgic hunting scene on the left side of receiver is based on the famed, early 1900's N.C. Wyeth painting. This example is Mint, new in the original factory box, with the correct Diamond Anniversary sleeve. It comes with the original as sealed package of paperwork, hang tag & wire brush. Sleeve is a bit tattered on the ends. A fine collectible. FFL Req. - Value: 1200 to 2000
