Sako, Model L579 Forester, marked Cal. 243, MFG: 1960, SN: 18801, Bolt Action Rifle. 23'' Tapered round barrel, The original checkered, cheeked, metal capped flat pistol grip & Monte Carlo wood stock is excellent. Factory finish is excellent, with just a few very minor contusions & light scratches. The original metal blue finish is 98% overall. Bore is excellent, shiny & bright. The receiver bridge has a so called ''salmon tail'' wedge-shaped rail for rifle scope mounts. Barrel has no rear sight provision & a factory ramped front sight. Stock carries a solid black rubber recoil pad. Sling swivel in forend & vacated hole in belly of the stock. 14'' LOP over pad. An excellent overall hunting rifle. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 500 to 1000
