Marlin, Model 38, .22 S. L. & LR. Cal., MFG: 1921-30, SN: W4581, Pump Rifle, 24'' Tapered octagon barrel, 2/3rd Tubular mag. Take-down. The original plain pistol grip wood stocks are excellent & solid, displaying the factory finish thinning some from use or flaking & with some crinkling or spider webbing mostly on the stock. Otherwise, minor contusions & light scratches. Trademark bullseye insert in the belly of the stock. Factory metal blue finish retained at 90% overall. Barrel mounted with an adjustable rear & long blade front sights. Bore has some roughness, but is clean & rates as good. Original checkered Marlin logo buttplate. Rifle action function smooth & properly. A very nice example & collectible. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 700 to 1200
