Ithaca, Crass Model Grade 3E, CAL: 12 GA, MFG: 1902, SN: 63958, Break Action SxS Shotgun, Choke: F/M, 28'' barrels. The original checkered & capped pistol grip wood stocks are very good & solid. The display a mix of original finish & a thin layer of added finish, with multiple small contusions, light scratches & surface scrapes. The forearm has an inlaid ebony insert. The damascus fingerprint pattern on the barrels is prominent, while the finish has worn to a metal grey, with brown patina in protected areas. Bores are excellent, with wear from normal use. The solid matted rib holds a single front bead. The case-hardened receiver has very nice hand engraved dogs on both sides, a mallard duck on belly & fine scroll work. Buttstock carries a Ithaca checkered black plastic buttplate, with engraved screws. Matching SN stamped on barrel flat, water table & underside of forearm. The gun locks up tight, both ejectors are functional, as well as the auto safety. A great addition to any collection of American shotguns. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 1500 to 3000
