British Enfield, Model 1853, CAL: 577 British, MFG: 1859, SN: None, Percussion Muzzle Loading Rifle, 38'' Round barrel. The walnut stock is very good, as refinished, with some scattered contusions, nicks & dings. There are a few short hairline cracks at the buttend & on at the top behind the breech. The barrel, sideplate & barrel bands are all a gun metal grey, with some spotty brown patina. Proof & inspection stamps on barrel. Trigger guard, buttplate & nose cap are brass. The barrel carries a small blade front sight on a base & an adjustable slide elevation rear sight, missing the slide. Bore is rough. Sling loops on trigger guard & front barrel band. Ramrod present. Antique, No FFL Req - Value: 200 to 400
