Russian, Berdan II, CAL: 10.7x58Rmm, MFG: 1884 SN: 5383, Russian made single shot bolt action, 32 3/4'' barrel. The original straight grip Walnut stock retains the original finish & a cartouche on right side of stock, marked ''1884'', an arrow, the Russian coat of arms, & ''II'',''II''. It also has multiple gouges, scratches & dings, as well a hole through both stock & forend. Barrel & receiver have worn to a mostly gun metal gray, with a light brown patina & some original blue remaining in protected areas. Barrel is marked ''1884'', Russian lettering, & S/N. Proof markings on left & right sides of barrel. Top of receiver is marked with Russian double eagle, with ''IIK'' underneath. Rear sight V- notch, with flip up section marked 6 to 15, left side of sight block is marked 2 to 5. Front sight is an inverted ''V'' on steel base. Bore is very good, with strong rifling. Matching SN's on barrel & buttplate, miss matched bolt. Carbine style metal buttplate. Sling swivels on trigger guard & forend barrel band. A cleaning rod is located in channel of stock. Mechanical function appears good. Antique, No FFL Req. - Value: 400 to 800
