Werndl-Holub, Model 1867/77, CAL. 11.15X58R, MFG: 1882 SN: 3853, Rotating breech lock single shot rifle, 32 1/4 '' round barrel.. The straight grain, straight grip Walnut stock is very good, as lightly saned in areas or cleaned & reoiled. It has normal scratches, scrapes & dings. Barrel & other metal surfaces have a rust brown patina, with some bluing remaining & rust spotting. Marked on barrel above receiver ''ST 83'', and further up ''875''. Right sidelock plate is stamped ''E WG 882'', left side of receiver stamped with S/N, top of receiver stamped ''OEWG''. Stock carries an old military style steel buttplate, with unit markings stamped on top & S/N stamped on the back. Barrel fitted with a rear flip-up elevator sight, with 8 to 14 graduation & 2 to 6 stamped on left side. The sights flat spring is broken & does not tension right. The front sight is small pinched blade on block. Bore is very good, wih visible rifling amongst darkening & rust spotting. Retains original cleaning rod & sling swivels. This is an unusual rotating lock breech loader. Comes with what appears to be an original & very nice leather sling. Antique, No FFL Req - Value: 300 to 600
