Glisenti Brescia, Model: Chamelot-Delvigne converted into Bodeo, RARE!!. Cal: 10.35 mm., MFG: 1873-87, S/N: 5604. Double action revolver, 5 1/4'' barrel. The wood grips are in very good condition, light wear & age darkening. Left side of barrel marked with proof marks. Left side of frame is proof marked, stamped with ''GLISENTI BRESCIA'', & worn crest. Right side of frame marked with S/N & proof marks. Bluing is about 70%, toning a bit brown on frame, with wear, speckling & rust spotting. Bore is very good, bright & with sharp rifling, but has a spot of pitting. Factory sights. Action & cylinder timing appears to function properly. Folding trigger. Lanyard ring. This is a rare model of revolver, This gun started its life as a Italian navy Chamelot-delvigne. When the Bodeo 1889 came out, the navy started to convert the older Glisenti to this configuration as they came in for repair or rotation. The were rechambered & updated with a mix of parts & features from the Bodeo. The Navy only had around 6000 Chamelot-Delvigne when the Bodeo came out & not all of them were converted. With them having a low manufacture # & with most of them being lost or destroyed over time, this is a very rare revolver & a nice collectable. Antique, No FFL Req. - Value: 500 to 1500
