Rogers & Spencer, Model Percussion Pistol, Replica made by Euroarms of America. CAL: 44, MFG: 1970's, SN: 009123, Single Action Black Powder Pistol, 7 1/2'' barrel. The original pistols like this were manufactured during the War between the States by the firm of Roger & Spencer at Utica, New York under United States Government Contract. The Roger & Spencer design is considered by many authorities to be one of the best engineered & strongest designs of the percussion era. Because of this revolvers inherent accuracy, excellent balance, smooth action & wide trigger, original Roger & Spencer Revolvers have long been in demand by some of this Nations most advanced match shooters. Euroarms of America's recreation of this classic is true to the original in design. The flared walnut grips are excellent, with minor contusions, light scratches & edge wear. The metal blue finish rates 90%, with the frame toning plum. Bore is very good. Integral rear sight notch groove in frame, truncated cone front sight of brass.
