RARE Winchester, Model 1892 SRC TRAPPER, marked 38 W.C.F., MFG. 1914, SN: 758302, Lever Action Saddle Ring Carbine, 16'' Round barrel, Full mag. The original wood stocks are very good & solid, as lightly sanded & refinished. There is a 6'' crack on the left side of the stock that does not go all the way through & other small scrapes, scratches & contusions. The metal surfaces have all worn gun metal gray, with a thin layer of brown patina remaining. Barrel lettering & markings are still clear. Bore is very good, with some roughness amongst solid lands & grooves. Folding ladder carbine rear & carbine box front sights, Carbine metal buttplate. Staple style saddle ring. with leather lash. Hammer looks to be a replacement, with hammer shortened for cowboy action shooting. Tight smooth action. A rare & collectible .38 WCF trapper SRC, with Old West character. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 2500 to 4000
