Colt Lightning, Marked .32 CAL., MFG. 1885, SN: 6417, Pump Action Rifle, 26'' Tapered octagon barrel, Full mag. Medium Frame, Early open top variation. The factory stocks are very good, with the correct checkered forend & non-checkered stock. The original finish has started to thin, with checkering starting to flatten in some areas & darkening from honest use. Minor handling marks & contusions, with one larger 1/4'' contusion where stock meets the receiver on the left side. The original metal blue finish on barrel is 90%, 70% on mag & 60% of the original high polish blue on receiver, with most of the loss on the left side. Bore is excellent, Crescent metal buttplate. Period front & updated rear sights. Overall, very nice 2nd yr. rifle. Antique, No FFL Req. - Value: 2000 to 4000
