Winchester, Model 70 XTR Sporter Varmint, CAL: 223 REM, MFG: 1984, SN: G1679135, Bolt Action Rifle, 23 3/4'' barrel. This is a Class 4 Special order through the USRA Custom Shop. This is a non-knurled bolt knob with fancy wood. The checkered, carved & capped pistol grip wood stock is excellent, with fantastic rippled grain. The stock carries a beautiful gloss finish, with very few tiny handling marks. Steel floor plate/trigger guard instead of the usual aluminium. The restored metal blue finish has a deep rich tone & rates 99% overall. Bore is excellent & bright. No open sight provisions. Receiver has open tapped holes for scope. Jeweled bolt. Sling studs. Buttstock carries a Winchester solid red rubber recoil pad. 13 1/2'' LOP over pad, Overall, a very attractive & high condition rifle. FFL Req. - Value: 800 to 1500
