Marlin, Model 39 Takedown, .22 S. L. LR Cal., MFG. Mid 1920's, SN: 8579, Lever Action Rifle, 24'' Octagon barrel, Full mag tube. The original scalloped pistol grip wood stocks are excellent & solid, as expertly cleaned & refinished. There are very few tiny handling marks. The metal blue finish on the barrel & tube has been restored & rates 98%, with a couple of small areas of pitting under the blue. The case-hardened receiver & lever display vivid case-colors. Bore is excellent. Mounted with an adjustable rear & blade front sights. Stock carries a Marlin marked plastic checkered buttplate. Trademark bullseye in belly of stock. Tight action. A sharp looking Marlin lever. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 1000 to 2000
