CASED Merkel Firearms, Model 1620EL, 16 Ga, MFG. Modern, Suhl, Germany, SN: 385615, Double Shotgun, CYL/SK, 28'' barrels marked 17.0 on both. The finely hand checkered straight grip stock is excellent, with full finish & fabulous figure. Retaining all of its original blue on barrels, trigger guard & lever. Coin finished receiver. The receiver, tangs & trigger guard are beautifully engraved with scroll & game scenes of pheasant on left side & quail on right side. Minty mirror bores. Single trigger. Factory buttplate. Untouched screws. This fine example appears to be as new, in a fine leather case & protective carrying canvas bag. Has rosewood & brass cleaning rod, snap caps & brushes, LOP 13 7/8'', DAC 1 9/16'', DAH 2 9/16'', 6.3lbs, A highly engraved Merkel 16 ga double, which is very sought-after.* FFL Req. - Value: 3000 to 6000
