Connecticut Valley Arms, Muzzleloader, CAL: 50, MFG: N/A, SN: 058540, Single Shot Black Powder Muzzleloading Rifle, 28'' Octagon barrel. The cheeked straight grip wood stock is solid & has an excellent appearance, with very nice finish & a few light surface scrapes & dings. There is a 8 1/2'' x 1'' splice of wood from the toe to the backend of the trigger guard. It was expertly done & matches well, almost appears as part of the original stock from the factory. Don't know if it was done to repair a toe break or why the inlaid splice. The metal blue finish on the barrel rates 80%, but is thinning in areas & toning in areas of loss to a gray/brown patina. The trigger guard, forend cap, buttplate & patchbox hardware are brass tone. Bore is excellent & bright. The barrel holds an elevation adjustable rear sight & blade front sight. Buttstock carries a crescent brass buttplate. A nice condition muzzleloader, ready for the black powder hunting! Black Powder, No FFL Req. - Value: 200 to 400
