Colt, U.S Marked, Single Action Army, CAL: 45, MFG: 1874, SN: 13571, Single Action Revolver, 5 1/2'' barrel. The top of the barrel is marked with a single line address, ''+COLT'S PT. F. A. MFG. Co. HARTFORD CT U.S.A+'', the left side of the frame is marked with a two line patent date, ''PAT SEPT 19, 1871 PAT JULY 2, 1872'', followed by a ''U.S'' stamp. The full SN is marked on the frame, trigger guard, butt & a partial SN is stamped on the cylinder. The refinished wood grips are very good, with a faint cartouche on the left grip (DWR?). The metal finish has worn to a gun metal grey, with remnants of blue remaining in protected areas, light speckling & spotting. Bore is very good, with light roughness amongst strong rifling. The barrel holds a standard blade front sight & integrated groove on the receiver. Action & cylinder appear to function extremely well, action is very tight. Comes with a letter from Colt, stating there is no information on this particular revolver as records were destroyed.* Antique, No FFL Req. - Value: 3000 to 5000
