Description

Colt, New Line First Model, CAL: 22, MFG: 1873, SN: 706, Single Action Spur Trigger Revolver, 2 3/16'' barrel. The top of the barrel is marked with a two-line address ''COLT'S PT. F. A MFG CO HARTFORD CT. U.S.A.'' & the left side of the frame is faintly marked with the caliber. The two-piece walnut grips are very good, with multiple tiny contusions & surface scrapes. The brass frame retains 50% of the original silver finish. The metal blue finish on the barrel rates 80%, 60% on cylinder. Bore is very good. The barrel holds a half-moon blade front sight. Action & cylinder timing appear to function properly. The Colt New Line was a single action pocket revolver introduced by the Colt's Patent Fire Arms Manufacturing Company in 1873. The Colt New Line was one of the first metallic cartridge rear-loading revolvers manufactured by Colt. Antique, No FFL Req. - Value: 200 to 600
