Description

Allen & Thurber, 6-Barrel Pepperbox, CAL: 32, MFG: 1847-65, SN: 325, Double Action Percussion Revolver, 3 1/4'' barrels. The cylinder/barrels is marked ''ALLEN & THURBER WORCHESTER''. The hammer is marked ''ALLEN'S PATENT 1854'' on the left side of the hammer. The wood grips are good, as refinished, with light contusions & scrapes. The metal is gun metal grey. The frame & backstrap display simple floral & ornamental patterns. The smooth bores are good, but with spotty roughness. A very early example of a unique pre-Civil War era American firearm.
