Sharps Pepperbox, CAL: 22, MFG: 1859-68, SN: 15337, Break Action Single Shot, 2 1/2'' barrels, 4 shot. This is a fascinating design that incorporates a rotating firing pin that turned 90 degrees over to the next barrel each time the hammer was cocked. The firing pin rotates on a small cylinder at the face of the hammer. The ''Sharps'' markings on both sides of the frame are legible. The carved wood grips are excellent, with minor handling marks. The finish on the barrels is toning to a mix of grey/brown patina. The brass frame is excellent, with a very nice aged patina. Bores are fair, dark & worn, with intermittent pitting. Single front bead, slightly worn. A very cool & highly collectible piece. Antique, No FFL Req - Value: 400 to 1000
