Connecticut Arms (Hammond Patent), Model ''Bull-Dozer'', CAL: 44RF, MFG: 1864-68, SN: 3283, Single Action Breech Loading Derringer Pistol, 4'' barrel. The faux ivory grips are excellent. The nickel finish on the barrel is very good, with areas of spotting & flaking. The breech block & frame appear to be polished steel, with spotting, pitting & dull areas. Bore is good, slightly dark with roughness. Blade front sight, which has been worn down. Unique breechblock design, where the block pivots to the left for loading. Between 7,400-8,000 of these guns were produced in the short 4-year span they were offered. Examples with ''BULL-DOZER'', like this one are rare & worth more. Antique, No FFL Req. - Value: 300 to 900
