Connecticut Arms Co. Norfolk, Pocket Front Loading Revolver, CAL: 28, MFG: 1860's, SN: 1521, Single Action Revolver, 3'' barrel. The top of the barrel is marked ''CONN ARMS CO NORFOLK CONN'' & the cylinder has a two-line patent address ''PATENTED MAR 1ST 1864 PATENTED JAN 16TH 1866''. The wood grips are excellent, with minor contusions & scrapes. The once nickeled frame has worn down to the brass, with thin remnants remaining & an aged patina. The barrel, cylinder & hammer are blued, retaining approximately 40% of the original high polish blue & worn areas toning to a brown patina. Bore is very good, bright with proud rifling & small areas of roughness. The barrel holds a low half-moon blade front sight & the hammer has a small notch that acts as a rear sight when the hammer is cocked. Side ejecting lever located on right side of frame. Overall, a nice example of a 19th century firearm. Antique, No FFL Req. - Value: 300 to 800
