National Firearms Co. Teat Fire, CAL: 32, MFG: 1864-70, SN: 28189, Single Action Revolver, 3 1/4'' barrel. The top of the barrel is marked ''National Firearms Co.. Brooklyn. N.Y.''. The brass frame is hand engraved with a floral scroll pattern & has small remnants of the once nickel finish remaining in protected areas. The breech end of the barrel also has a simple engraving. The original wood grips are very good, with minor contusions, surface scrapes & edge wear. The high polish metal blue finish on the barrel rates 40%, toning to a mix of metal grey/brown patina. The blue on the cylinder rates 80%. Bore is very good & bright, with proud rifling & small areas of roughness. The barrel holds a crescent blade front sight & the hammer has an integrated groove that acts as a rear sight when the hammer is cocked. Action & cylinder timing appear to function properly. Around 7,000 equipped with the combined loading gate & extractor, making this example a little more scarce. Antique, No FFL Req. - Value: 400 to 800
